Hurricane Mesa Test Facility (HMTF) is a unique R&D test site specializing in ejection seat system validation using rocket sleds and subsystem test stands. The Engineering Test Technician will support sled tests, subsystem evaluations, and general site operations. This role involves hands‑on work with energetic materials, test hardware, and custom-built fixtures that enable high‑speed and supersonic test activities.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• You will handle and test rocket motors as part of a test team

QUALIFICATIONS WE PREFER

• Welding and fabrication experience with fixtures and test hardware


• Manual machining experience (mill, lathe, etc.)


• Experience with energetic materials (CAD/PAD, rockets, explosives)


• Experience in R&D or test environments, especially ejection seats or parachute systems


• General industrial equipment maintenance and repair experience

Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 41,400 USD - 72,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
