Job summary

Acuren in Magnolia, Texas is seeking a Test Technician III to support our operations. Under engineering supervision, you will assist in design, testing, and maintenance of mechanical equipment and industrial machinery.

You will perform tests, prepare samples, and contribute to safety and quality across projects, collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders in a dynamic field service environment.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented with experience in quality standards and processes.
• Test and sample setup and testing skills; strong communication and customer focus.
• 3–9 years of experience in Design, Materials, Mechanical, Electrical, or Structural Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional professional customer service with various industrial companies, energy companies, internal and external stakeholders, etc.
• Carry out system, equipment maintenance and repair as needed
• Forklift operation for loading and unloading pipe samples (training available)
• Sample preparation may require long hours both inside and outside cutting with various handheld instruments
• Lab/Shop and partial office environment with continuous and repeated standing
• Physical effort required with exposure to 5-7 elements/conditions, moderate mental effort
• Lifting/carrying by weight (pounds) and frequency/duration in which action is required.
• Endurance such as sitting, standing, walking, climbing, or driving, and frequency/duration in which action is required.
• Self-starter, able to work independently on tasks with a focus on safety
• Other work duties as assigned.

Under direction of engineering staff or physical scientists assists in all phases of the design, development, production, testing, operation, and maintenance of mechanical equipment, tools, and industrial machinery in the area of specialization (Design, Materials, Mechanical, Electrical, or Structural Engineering). Inspects product functions and monitors test procedures and equipment.
