Job summary

Collins Aerospace in the United States is seeking skilled technicians to join our team, supporting the assembly and testing of critical electronic components. You will contribute directly to quality and reliability while building hands-on technical skills in a fast-paced environment.

This 2nd shift role runs Monday to Friday, 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM with overtime potential. You will use SAP, read blueprints, and work with test equipment to ensure products meet specifications.

Qualifications

  • This role typically requires a HS diploma or GED with at least 1 year of related manufacturing experience.
  • Read schematics and use test equipment to troubleshoot assemblies.
  • Experience with electronic measurement tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Test electronic components following blueprints and procedures to ensure quality.
  • Analyze assemblies at the component level and document results.
  • Use hand/machine tools and calibrated equipment safely and effectively.
  • Support production schedules and continuous improvement initiatives (ACE).
  • Follow safety, quality, and hazardous waste procedures at all times.
  • Train others and interface with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
  • Maintain a clean, efficient work environment and assist with tool requests.

This is a 2nd shift position with the following hours: Monday-Friday; 3:30 PM-12:00 AM (Overtime may be required)

What You Will Do:
  • Test electronic components, following blueprints, guidelines, and part‑specific procedures to ensure products meet specifications and quality standards.
  • Analyze assemblies at the component level, document results, and maintain test equipment as required.
  • Use hand/machine tools, measuring devices, and electronic/manual test equipment safely and effectively.
  • Support production schedules, meet deadlines, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives (ACE).
  • Follow safety, quality, and hazardous waste procedures at all times.
  • Use computer tools such as SAP and accurately follow work instructions.
  • Train others, interface with cross‑functional teams, and proactively resolve production or process issues.
  • Maintain a clean, efficient work environment, request tools and supplies as needed, and contribute to waste minimization and audit activities.
Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Must have 1+ year(s) of manufacturing experience.
Qualifications We Prefer:
  • A.S. in Electronics Technology or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to read schematics.
  • Working knowledge of DMM, Oscilloscope, Signal Generator, & Spectrum Analyzer.
  • Basic component level troubleshooting experience.
