Job summary

CPI Electron Device Business (CPI EDB) seeks a Test Technician in Beverly, MA to perform technical assignments on high powered microwave transmitters and sub-assemblies. You will tune, test, and troubleshoot to the component level in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires an EET or equivalent, strong RF knowledge, and proficiency with RF test equipment. Export controls apply; US persons only. Salary is DOE with benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electronics Engineering Technology (EET) or equivalent preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with a self-starting mindset to resolve technical issues independently.
• Solid knowledge of RF components, waveguides, and high-voltage systems.
• Proficiency with standard RF and microwave test equipment (spectrum analyzers, power meters, oscilloscopes).

YOUR DAY TO DAY

We are seeking a highly skilled Test Technician to perform a variety of technical assignments on complex high powered, and high voltage microwave transmitters and sub-assemblies. In this role, you will tune, test, and trouble shoot systems down to the component level with minimal directions from supervisors or engineers. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, flexible environment, possesses deep knowledge of RF components, and actively contributes to product improvement.

YOU ARE THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THIS JOB IF YOU HAVE

• Associate degree in Electronics Engineering Technology (EET), military technical training, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with a self-starting mindset to resolve technical issues independently.
• Strong foundational knowledge of RF components, waveguides, and high-voltage systems.
• Proficiency with standard RF and microwave test equipment (e.g. spectrum analyzers, power meters, oscilloscopes.
• This role requires access to export-controlled information, subject to the ITAR and EAR, for which the company will not pursue an export license/license exception. Must be a US person (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals) to be eligible for this role.

Salary Range: $25.00 - $32.00 / hour
