Job summary

Dover Fueling Solutions (DFS) in Austin, TX, is seeking a Test Operator II to perform final and in-process testing of chargers and sub-assemblies in a team-based manufacturing environment.

You will help engineers troubleshoot failures, set up tests with cabling, tooling and instrumentation, and ensure products meet quality standards through systematic inspection and documentation. The role emphasizes safety, 6S housekeeping, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• OSHA 11 certification is a plus.
• AA degree or equivalent in Electrical Technology.
• 5 years of manufacturing experience.
• Read engineering drawings is mandatory.
• Experience with high voltage systems (240V-480V, 30-100A).
• Stand for up to 10 hours and lift 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform final acceptance testing and in-process testing of chargers and sub-components.
• Set up and teardown tests, including cabling, fixtures and instruments.
• Troubleshoot test failures and determine root causes with corrective actions.
• Maintain logs on device inspections and BOM verification.
• Promote zone safety practices and housekeeping (6S).
• Support quality and continuous improvement initiatives in testing zone.

Headquartered in Austin, TX, DFS has a significant technology development and manufacturing presence worldwide, including facilities in Brazil, China, India, Italy, Poland, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the United States.The Test Operator II will work in a team-based manufacturing environment performing a wide variety of semi-repetitive or unique precision test and assembly operations where methods and sequence of testing are described by production drawings or detailed written instructions.ResponsibilitiesThe Production Testing Technician II performs final acceptance testing and certain in-process testing of chargers and sub-components, assemblies and/or systems in a production environmentRecognize and Utilize all Safety Hazard ControlsUse and maintain prescribed personal protective equipmentWork to standard operating procedures, bill of materials, manufacturing information, and instructions.Assist engineers with troubleshooting test failures, and with determining root cause and corrective actionsTests a variety of systems including, but not limited to: medium to high voltage systemsResponsible for test setup (e.g. - cabling, clamping, fixturing, instrumentation, piping, etc.) and teardown of test piecesPerforms quality control visual inspections, and functional operations of material and product before and after assemblyPerforms troubleshooting and understand test failures.
