Job description

Overview The Environmental Test Technician (2nd Shift) plays a critical role in supporting qualification and acceptance testing of components and systems for aerospace, defense, and other high-reliability industries. This position is responsible for the setup, execution, monitoring, and documentation of environmental tests in accordance with established procedures, customer requirements, and applicable military and aerospace standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically capable, and thrives in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.

Salary: $25- 30/hr DOE

Hours: 2pm - 10:30pn

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Set up and execute environmental tests in accordance with approved test procedures and work instructions
  • Operate and program environmental thermal chamber controllers to achieve specified test profiles
  • Configure and operate data acquisition systems to capture accurate and reliable test data
  • Monitor tests in progress, maintaining detailed test log sheets and recording data as required
  • nsure test activities comply with applicable military, aerospace, and customer compliance standards
  • Identify, document, and communicate test anomalies or issues to engineering and management
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized test environment
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by sharing technical knowledge and best practices with team members
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational and business needs
Skills / Qualifications
  • Minimum of two (2) years of hands-on experience performing environmental testing preferred
  • Strong understanding of military and aerospace compliance standards
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document technical information clearly
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting deadlines
  • Proven ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
  • Ability to share knowledge, mentor others, and assist with task delegation as required
  • Positive, “can-do” attitude with a proactive approach to problem solving
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Must successfully pass an extensive background check, drug screening, and DMV review
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Technical training, vocational education, or associate degree in electronics, engineering technology, or a related field is preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered
