Job summary

Thales Defense & Security, Inc. in Clarksburg, MD is hiring 1st and 2nd shift Test Technicians. You will perform board and unit level testing, connect test equipment, and support ESS with supervision. Candidates must meet citizenship and experience requirements and lift up to 50 lbs.

First shift is 5:00 am–2:30 pm; second shift is 2:30 pm–12:00 am. Training on first shift may precede transfer to second shift, with competitive benefits and a 9/80 schedule.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Fluent English in verbal and written communication.
• 2 year Electronics degree or equivalent preferred.
• 2–4 years of equivalent experience.
• Basic understanding of electronics terminology and application.
• Familiar with AC, DC, RF test and measurement equipment operation.
• Experience using Excel, Word, Outlook; SAP S/4/Hana preferred but not required.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs with or without assistance.

Responsibilities

• Keep team lead informed of stack and product issues.
• Complete ESD testing and follow manufacturing guidelines and procedures.

We currently have a openings for 1st and 2nd Shift Test Technicians in our Clarksburg, MD Campus. Test Technicians will report to the Senior Manager of Manufacturing. First shift hours are 5:00 am-2:30 pm. Second shift hours are 2:30 pm to 12:00 am. Second shift candidates must be able to train on first shift for up to 4 weeks before transferring to second shift.

• Properly sign in on correct PIDs, complete ESD testing, and follow all manufacturing guidelines and procedures.
• Run most tests in factory.
• Support Environmental Stress Testing (ESS) with minimum supervision.

• Maintain a neat and tidy work areaand be compliant with ESDandFOD policies.

The hourly pay range for this role is $22.62 - $28.90 USD along with a target incentive compensation plan (ICP) of 3%. Once training on 1st shift is successfully completed, 2nd shift employees will transition to 2nd shift and become eligible for an additional $1.50 per hour shift differential. The pay range provided is a good faith estimate representative of the experience level for the role described above.
