Job Title: Test Technician – Aerospace & Defense Systems
Position Overview
PacSci EMC seeks a detail‑oriented Test Technician to join a high‑growth team in Solon, Ohio. In this role you will be at the forefront of testing and validating cutting‑edge aerospace and defense products, collaborating with engineering and production teams to ensure quality, reliability, and safety standards are met.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the verification and acceptance testing of advanced electronic and pyrotechnic products for aerospace and defense applications.
- Set up and operate a variety of test equipment—including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and environmental chambers—to evaluate product performance, reliability, and safety.
- Execute tests in strict accordance with Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs), Qualification Test Procedures (QTPs), and In‑Process Test Procedures (ITPs).
- Diagnose, calibrate, and adjust test equipment, components, and systems to ensure optimal operation.
- Maintain meticulous records and generate comprehensive test reports to support product certification and continuous improvement.
- Employ a range of hand and power tools, as well as precision measuring devices, to support testing activities.
- Contribute to the development of new testing methodologies and participate in process improvement initiatives.
- Work cross‑functionally to resolve technical challenges and drive product excellence.
- Conduct rigorous environmental, stress, and durability tests to validate product integrity.
- Interpret complex dimensional and schematic drawings to ensure accurate test setups.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of experience as a Test Technician, ideally in aerospace, defense, or a related high‑reliability industry.
- Proficiency with electronic test equipment (voltmeters, oscilloscopes, etc.) and mechanical measuring tools (micrometers, calipers).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings and optimize test setups.
- Hands‑on experience soldering SMD components and practical troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Willingness and ability to travel to the Hollister, CA site up to 75% during the first 90 days for training.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or military experience preferred.
- Subject to ITAR regulations; candidates must be U.S. persons or able to secure required government export authorizations.
Working Conditions
- Test lab environment with required PPE.
- Standing for 8–10 hours per day.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate test results and findings.
- Experience performing equipment setup, calibration verification, and test system maintenance.
- Military electronics, avionics, communications, radar, or related technical military experience is highly valued.
Benefits
- Pay Range: 38,700.00 – 71,900.00 (local currency).
- Eligible for bonus as part of the total compensation package.
