Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Test Technician to sit onsite at an Automotive client in Newark, CA. You will install and set up test articles on test beds, and execute both standard and lower risk non-standard tests while utilizing basic data acquisition systems and instrumentation.

You will provide detailed feedback and update test tickets as needed. Ideal candidates have 2+ years of automotive technician experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and solid documentation practices.

Qualifications

• 2+ years automotive or related technician experience.
• Experience troubleshooting and executing test profiles.
• Detail oriented with excellent documentation and reporting.
• Strong Microsoft Office and computer software literacy.
• Basic experience with CANbus, Ethernet, Modbus interfaces.

Job description

Insight Global is seeking a Test Technician to sit onsite at an Automotive client in Newark, CA. This person will physically install and setup test articles on test beds, execute both standard and lower risk non-standard tests. They will utilize flash basic software versions to test articles, provide organized and detailed feedback to test requestors and update test tickets. They will leverage basic data acquisition systems, related instrumentation, and diagnose and debug basic issues at a system, modular, and component level. This role can pay $30-36 depending on years of experience.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 2 years of automotive or related technician experience.
• Experience troubleshooting and executing test profiles.
• Detail oriented personality with exceptional documentation and reporting skills.
• Strong Microsoft office and computer software literacy
• Basic experience working with standard industrial communication interfaces i.e. CANbus, Ethernet, Modbus

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Experience in dyno-specific testing interfaces.
• Experience with electric vehicle drive systems.
• Experience with electric vehicles and/or automotive products.
• Experience with Atlassian Jira, National Instruments hardware & related software strongly desired.
