Job summary

Amphenol Borisch Technologies in Mesa, AZ is seeking a Test Technician responsible for testing and troubleshooting electronic cable and wire harness assemblies.

You will use basic electrical concepts and a range of test equipment to verify performance, analyze field returns, and document findings. This is a full-time role with benefits and opportunities to contribute to high-reliability systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in electronics or equivalent experience preferred.
• 2+ years experience in electronics, testing and troubleshooting wire harness assemblies recommended.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Test harnesses using basic electrical concepts and equipment.
• Troubleshoot assemblies down to component level.
• Test with power supplies, DMMs, oscilloscopes and function generators.
• Analyze field returns and unusual test problems.
• Prepare technical reports with findings and recommended solutions.
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration of equipment.
• Document travelers, defect records and CRNs.
• Provide technical support to other departments.
• Perform additional tasks as directed.

Job description

The Test Technician is responsible for testing and troubleshooting electronic cable and wire harnessassemblies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Uses basic knowledge of electricity, electronic components and circuit concepts to perform tests on harnesses.
• Employs strong logical troubleshooting skills to troubleshoot assemblies and final systems to the component level.
• Utilizes basic test equipment including, but not limited to, power supplies, DMMs, oscilloscopes, function generators, to test and troubleshoot assemblies.
• Analyzes and corrects field returns or unusual test problems.
• Provides technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to resolve problems.
• Performs preventative maintenance and calibration of equipment and systems.
• Completes documentation including travelers, defect recording, CRNs, etc
• Provides technical support for other departments, working to identify needs and determine solutions to problems.
• Performs other tasks as directed

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• Associates degree in electronics or equivalent experience
• 2+ years work experience in electronics, testing and troubleshooting wire harness assemblies, preferred
