Job summary

Torrey Holistics is seeking a Test Technician in McKinney, TX to perform manual bench testing and operate test equipment. You will input pedigree data into FOS and generate non-conformances for failures, followed by rework. Training occurs on 1st shift for 4–6 months.

Requires a HS diploma or GED with 1+ year of related experience in a manufacturing or microelectronics environment. Proficiency with multimeters, oscilloscopes, and MS Office is expected.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience testing power supplies, HV systems, and test equipment.
  • Experience in manufacturing or microelectronics with radar/navigation testing is preferred.
  • Must be able to read and interpret basic engineering drawings.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to perform rework.

Responsibilities

  • Manual bench testing and setup of test equipment.
  • Input pedigree information into the Factory Operating System (FOS).
  • Create non-conformances in FOS for test failures and perform rework.
  • Adhere to safety and quality training requirements; participate in ongoing training.

Job Title: Test TechnicianLocation: McKinney, TX 75071Duration: 12 Months ContractPay Rate: $28.50/hr on W23rd Shift: 10 PM - 6:30 AM - Monday - Friday2nd Shift: 2 PM - 10:30 PM - Monday - FridayNote: Training will be conducted on 1st shift: Monday - Friday 6 AM - 2:30 PM (Time frame for training will be 4-6 months)PLEASE NOTE: WE ARE SPECIFICALLY SEEKING TECHNICIANS WITH HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE IN POWER SUPPLIES, HIGH-VOLTAGE SYSTEMS, TEST EQUIPEMENT, AND STRONG TROUBLESHOOTING SKILLS. WE ARE NOT SEEKING TEST TECHNICIANS WHO SIMPLY OPERATE EQUIPMENT WITHOUT TROUBLESHOOTING OR REPAIR RESPONSIBILITIES.Job Description:Manual bench testing, set up and operate test equipment, input pedigree information on the parts into our Factory Operating System (FOS), create non-conformances in FOS for test failures, and perform rework. Individual will have annual training requirements in topics ranging from safety, hazardous materials, quality systems, and other topics.Required Skill Sets:• Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/ technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 years of relevant experience• Experience working in a manufacturing, microelectronics, aerospace or defense industry environment with hands on technical experience in testing of navigation and/or radar system assemblies.• Should be comfortable using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other electrical testing equipment.• The candidate must have basic computer (MS Office – Word/Excel/Power Point), E-mail, and math skills.• The candidate must have basic computer (MS Office – Word/Excel/Power Point), E-mail, and math skills.•• Strong safety focusDesired Skill Sets:• Experience with robotic equipment for testing, Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) equipment, or high voltage testing and components is highly desired.• Knowledge of 6 Sigma/ Kaizen/lean manufacturing• Experience working with a diverse array of personnel.• Ability to work with production resources and teammates to meet production goals and delight customers with quality products.• Demonstrated drive for continuous improvement.• A successful candidate would be able to accomplish daily work tasks with a minimum of supervision.• The successful candidate will have work experience that shows the ability to adhere to detailed work instructions and quality standards.• Must have the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.• Must be able to communicate effectively, manage more than one job at a time and be flexible with the work as needed.• Able to perform repetitive tasks in accordance with an established, proven process and to perform in-process inspection in accordance with company standards and customer specifications.• Effective time management skills are a must.Education Level Required: HS Diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US, 1-2 Years Vocational training or Associates Degree.• Years of Experience Required: 2+ Years
