Job description

Test Technician

Location: McKinney, TX

Job ID: #70710

Pay Range: $22-27

This role will support acceptance testing functions on production and development/prototype products. The effective candidate will perform a wide variety of tasks and testing functions in support of a manufacturing/production/depot environment on 1st shift. The candidate will work directly with engineering on production and troubleshooting tasks.

What You Will Do:
  1. Problem-solving skills with the ability to proactively identify alternate solutions to overcome technical challenges.
  2. Fault-isolate problems and assist in the resolution of issues between the test environment (test station, interface adapter, test cables, etc.) and the devices under test.
  3. Observe, analyze, and report test data.
  4. Select and set up appropriate test equipment based on test specifications.
  5. Interpret test data (plots, graphs, tabulated parameters, etc.) to determine pass/fail conditions and identify when further analysis is needed.
  6. Utilize basic hand tools, torque tools, analyzers, and power tools.
Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Ability to obtain clearance on a proprietary program.
  • Experience working in a classified or proprietary program environment is preferred.
  • Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with VM, CMES, SAP, or other manufacturing automation databases and tools.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, MATLAB, programming, drive share mapping, and basic computer programs.
  • Experience performing product tests using procedures, manuals, schematics, engineering drawings, verbal instructions, and other documentation under limited supervision.

Please note: An active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance is required prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years of testing experience; education in a STEM field may substitute for work experience.
  • Experience with oscilloscopes, pulse generators, programmable network analyzers, signal generators, multimeters, and other test assets.
  • Hands-on technical experience in repair, installation, and inspection in manufacturing, assembly, aviation, or naval environments.
  • Experience performing product tests using procedures, manuals, schematics, engineering drawings, and verbal instructions under limited supervision.
