Job summary

Randstad in Ohio is seeking a detail-oriented Test Technician to implement test methods, operate test equipment, and conduct functional testing for power distribution solutions. The role leads testing efforts for new products and production evaluation, with on-site responsibilities in Streetsboro or Aurora.

Shift is second, 2:00 PM–12:30 AM, and compensation ranges from $54k to $65k annually. Qualified candidates have an Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent, plus

• Associate degree or equivalent military/electrical testing background.
• Hands-on experience with electrical test equipment and precise measurement tools.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams; proficient in Excel and Word.
• Knowledge of electronics, circuit troubleshooting, and electrical safety standards (LOTO/PPE).

Responsibilities

• Testing & inspection: pre-power up, functional, and burn-in testing up to 600 VAC.
• Troubleshooting & repair: assist with AC/DC circuit troubleshooting and minor repairs.
• Documentation: maintain accurate test reports and technical documents.
• Technical setup: program devices and set up test equipment.
• Operations: work independently on routine tasks using hand tools with safety procedures.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Test Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing test methods, operating test equipment, and conducting functional testing to ensure our power distribution solutions meet the highest standards of reliability. You will work with limited supervision, playing a lead role in both new product testing and standard production evaluation. Qualifications:

• Education: Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, equivalent Military Electrical Training, or a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience performing electrical testing in the power systems industry.
• Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with electrical test equipment (multimeters, current meters, etc.) and precision measurement tools.
• Documentation: Ability to read/interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams; proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Knowledge: Deep understanding of electronics, circuit-level troubleshooting, and electrical safety standards (e.g., LOTO/PPE).
