Job summary

Adecco in Aurora, OH is seeking an Electrical Test Technician to join the team onsite. The role focuses on inspecting and testing electrical and electronic power equipment, transformers, circuit breakers and related components.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with AC/DC power and control circuits up to 480V, reads schematics, uses voltmeters and oscilloscopes, and follows Lockout/Tagout and PPE safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or at least 2 years of power industry experience preferred.
• Hands-on experience with AC/DC power and control circuits up to 480V.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Experience with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), electrical PPE and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test electrical and electronic power equipment, transformers, circuit breakers and related components.
• Perform component testing and troubleshoot electrical systems.
• Complete test documentation and assist with repairs, wiring, crimping and assembly as needed.

Job description

My client, a growing manufacturer of critical power distribution equipment, is seeking Electrical Test Technicians to join their team in Aurora, OH. This role is responsible for inspecting and testing electrical and electronic power equipment, transformers, circuit breakers and related components.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with AC/DC power and control circuits up to 480V, using voltmeters, current meters, and oscilloscopes and reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams. Experience with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), electrical PPE, hand tools and standard electrical safety procedures is required. An Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or at least 2 years of power industry experience is preferred.

The Test Technician will perform component testing, troubleshoot electrical systems, complete test documentation and occasionally assist with repairs, wiring, crimping and assembly. Basic computer skills are required, including familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, file management and computer-based testing programs. Strong attention to detail, dependability, and the ability to work independently are important for success in this position. This is an onsite position with a choice of 1st shift, Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, or 2nd shift, Monday–Thursday, 2:00 PM–12:30 AM.
