Job summary

Ultimate Staffing in Camarillo is seeking a Test Technician to perform circuit testing, setup, and troubleshooting under supervision. You will verify product performance to defined test criteria and record data accurately.

The role requires reading blueprints, basic electronics, and experience with oscilloscopes and meters. Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds and work 6am–4:30pm, Monday–Saturday, in the aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Able to read blueprints, specifications and schematics.
• Soldering experience preferred but not required.
• Must have good oral, written communications and high ethical standards.
• Basic electronics understanding to set-up and operate test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Test assemblies per blueprint, ATPs and specifications daily.
• Perform in-process inspections and meet production schedules.
• Set up and troubleshoot circuits, instruments and assemblies.
• Record data on test results and report issues to Test Manager.
• Provide hands-on training to coworkers as needed.

Test Technician Needed in Camarillo

Schedule: 6am - 4:30pm Monday - Saturday

Summary

Responsible for: Testing of product components and parts; along with performing other basic sub-assembly test procedures and equipment setup under supervision. Functionally verifies product performance to the defined test criteria.

Essential Functions

• Performs the set-up, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and assemblies.
• Performs hand set-ups for AC and DC digital and analog tests.
• Set-up burn-in for complete units and transformer testing.
• Preliminary and final test of complete assemblies and recording data on test results.
• Analysis of failure and independent judgment is required to determine appropriate course of action during troubleshooting.
• Operates analog and digital oscilloscopes and meters, power supplies, special AC test fixtures and similar test equipment.
• Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail to ensure the work is accurate and complete.
• Able to follow instructions and review work activities with supervisors.
• Complete job function in a timely manner with high quality.
• Provide hands-on job function training to coworkers as needed.
• Report problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials to Test Manager.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area.

Essential Functions of the position include, but are not limited to:

• Test assemblies per blueprint, ATPs and specifications daily.

• Request material from stockroom as necessary.
• Learn new products and functions as required.
• Understand/perform all production processes without help.
• Assist in training of new personnel.
• Ensure policies and procedures are followed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Able to read blueprints, specifications and schematics.
• Soldering experience preferred but not required.
• Must have good oral, written communications and have a high level of moral and ethical codes.
• Basic calculations, with a calculator to determine equivalent measurements, settings or outputs from equations.
• Basic electronics understanding to set-up and operator test equipment.
• Low-voltage and high-voltage testing experienced.
• Must be to read, write and speak English.

Education and Experience

• Technical Degree in Electronics or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend diagrams and procedures written in English.
• Experience with hand tools, oscilloscopes, multi-meters, generators, and soldering equipment.
• One or more years in a similar field preferred.
• Good oral and written communication skills.

Operates a variety of mechanical/electrical and small precision hand tools to test parts and sub-assemblies for final assembly. Performs equipment set-ups, both testing fixtures and equipment, along with filling out test data accurately and effectively.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee frequently is required to walk, bend, stoop, kneel, or crouch and reach with hands and arms, climb or balance.

Must occasionally lift up to 45 pounds.

Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
