Job summary

Test Tech at Dauch conducts tests on products, components, and work-in-progress to verify conformity to specifications and proper functioning. You will document, analyze, and communicate test results, and retrain as needed while maintaining testing software and equipment.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and mechanical, electrical, and computer experience. On-site position with opportunities to improve processes, in Detroit, MI area.

Responsibilities

• Prepares basic tests by studying test objectives, standards, methods, conditions and equipment.
• Selects and ensures proper calibration of test equipment required for each specific test.
• Properly assembles and disassembles components pre- and post-test.
• Validates product capability and reliability by conducting performance, environmental and operational tests.
• Documents test outcomes by completing test logs.
• Collects and documents test data.
• Maintains safe test environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
• Maintains test information data base by entering and backing up data.
• Keeps test equipment operating by following operating instructions and established procedures; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
• Contributes to engineering and organization success by readily adapting to change; continuously seeking opportunities to improve.
• All other duties as assigned.
