Job summary

Patterson-UTI in Texas is seeking a field-based technician to support testing and maintenance of frac equipment. You will operate pressurized systems, perform setup and teardown on test stands, and ensure road readiness through pre-trip inspections.

Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, reporting deficiencies, assisting maintenance with troubleshooting, documenting results in company systems, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment in accordance with company policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of frac experience preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Ability to operate forklifts, manlifts and CMVs.

Responsibilities

• Operate and test pressurized systems and field equipment.
• Safely rig up/down equipment into test stand per company standards.
• Inspect equipment and identify deficiencies, communicating with maintenance personnel.
• Support maintenance staff in troubleshooting and correcting defects.
• Follow testing procedures and document results in designated systems.
• Perform pre-trip/DOT inspections to ensure road readiness of equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on test stand facility and maintain good housekeeping.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by manager.

Key Accountabilities

Essential Functions:

• Operate & control pressurized systems and test functionality of all field equipment
• Safely spot & rig up/down equipment into test stand consistent with company operating standards
• inspect and identify equipment deficiencies during the course of testing and communicate to appropriate maintenance personnel.
• Support maintenance staff in troubleshooting and correcting defects.
• Follow & adhere to predetermined inspection and testing criteria as outlined in testing procedures.
• Utilize designated business systems to document test results and the work performed.
• Perform pre-trip/DOT inspections to ensure road readiness of equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on test stand facility as required, ensuring proper functionality of associated equipment, as well as good housekeeping.
• Perform all other job duties as assigned by manager.

Minimum Required Education
