Job summary

Plexus Corp. is seeking a qualified technician to develop and sustain test and inspection programs for multiple manufacturing platforms in our Idaho facility.

The role emphasizes improving program capability through data-driven analysis and collaboration with production teams. You will support operators and technicians, troubleshoot test equipment, and participate in vendor training to raise overall equipment readiness and reduce downtime.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree with 2+ years of related experience preferred.
• AOI/AXI and Flying Probe program development and debugging experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Basic electrical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Review and react to key process indicators to increase program capability while maintaining a low false call level.
• Actively listen and respond to the needs of internal customers and participate as a sector team member to support external customer satisfaction.
• Support manufacturing Operators and Technicians in troubleshooting and debugging test equipment, test software, and products; assist root cause failure analysis.
• Developed new programs, completed test acceptance/validations, and implemented engineering changes while maintaining program integrity on one or more manufacturing test platforms.
• Lead the development of Specific Function Training or other instructions to support equipment operation for Operators or Technicians; participate in vendor training as required.

The salary offered within this range will be based upon the geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level.

Salary Range:

$48,500.00 - $72,700.00

Work Shift

This shift helps cover operations on our D Shift which works every other Tuesday night from 6pm-6am and every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday night from 6pm-6am. The shift is eligible for a 10% shift differential.

Purpose Statement

Develop and sustain test and inspection programs for one or multiple manufacturing test platforms.

Key Job Accountabilities

• Review and react to key process indicators to increase program capability while maintaining a low false call level. Identify program or system gaps and identify and implement solutions to close these gaps across the site.


• Actively listen and respond to the needs of internal customers and actively participate as a member of the sector team to support external customer satisfaction. Contribute to the sector team by providing technical leadership at the product level, utilizing strong communication skills to secure optimal effectiveness in all aspects of the testing area. Works with planners and manufacturing Supervisors/Leads to support established production schedule priorities.


• Supports manufacturing Operators and Technicians in troubleshooting and debugging test equipment, test software, and products, supporting root cause failure analysis and implementing solutions to reduce or eliminate downtime. Lead calibration and preventative maintenance of equipment. As required, support new equipment evaluations and provide feedback.


• Developed new programs, completed test acceptance/validations, and implemented engineering changes while maintaining program integrity on one or more manufacturing test platforms.


• Lead the development of Specific Function Training, Assembly Build Instructions, or other training to support the operation of the equipment for the Operators or Manufacturing Test Technicians. As required, attend training sessions at vendors to improve expertise and train other individuals on the content learned.

Education/Experience Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree with 2 or more years of related experience is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.


• Proven hands-on experience in the development and fine-tuning of AOI, AXI plus experience developing, debugging, and sustaining programs for Flying Probe or supporting ICT programs and fixtures.

Work Environment
