Job summary

Plexus Corp in the United States is seeking a Test/Inspection Engineer to develop and sustain test programs for multiple manufacturing platforms. The role emphasizes improving process capability, addressing gaps, and supporting internal customers with technical leadership in testing.

Ideal candidates have an Associate's degree and hands-on AOI/AXI/Flying Probe/ICT experience, plus strong communication and problem-solving skills. Shift work with a 10% differential is offered.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree with 2+ years of related experience preferred.
• Hands-on experience in developing and fine-tuning AOI, AXI plus experience developing, debugging, and sustaining programs for Flying Probe or supporting ICT programs and fixtures.

Responsibilities

• Review and react to key process indicators to increase program capability while maintaining a low false call level. Identify program or system gaps and identify and implement solutions to close these gaps across the site.
• Actively listen and respond to the needs of internal customers and actively participate as a member of the sector team to support external customer satisfaction. Contribute to the sector team by providing technical leadership at the product level, utilizing strong communication skills to secure optimal effectiveness in all aspects of the testing area. Works with planners and manufacturing Supervisors/Leads to support established production schedule priorities.
• Supports manufacturing Operators and Technicians in troubleshooting and debugging test equipment, test software, and products, supporting root cause failure analysis and implementing solutions to reduce or eliminate downtime. Lead calibration and preventative maintenance of equipment. As required, support new equipment evaluations and provide feedback.
• Developed new programs, completed test acceptance/validations, and implemented engineering changes while maintaining program integrity on one or more manufacturing test platforms.
• Lead the development of Specific Function Training, Assembly Build Instructions, or other training to support the operation of the equipment for the Operators or Manufacturing Test Technicians. As required, attend training sessions at vendors to improve expertise and train other individuals on the content learned.

The salary offered within this range will be based upon the geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level. Salary Range:

$48,500.00 - $72,700.00

Work Shift: This shift helps cover operations on our B Shift which works every other Saturday night from 6pm-6am and every Sunday, Monday and Tuesday night from 6pm-6am.

The shift is eligible for a 10% shift differential.

Education/Experience Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree with 2 or more years of related experience is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.
