Job summary

Daikin Applied in Faribault, MN, is seeking a hands-on technician to operate test stands, read schematics, and troubleshoot unit performance in a climate-controlled facility.

You will maintain safety standards, document test results, and train new team members while supporting a fast-paced manufacturing environment. A high school diploma or GED and EPA refrigeration certification are required, with 2+ years in related settings preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; related manufacturing experience OK.
• 2-year EPA-certified A/C Refrigeration or equivalent per company standards.
• Ability to read schematics and blueprints to verify assembly steps.
• Experience in a manufacturing/production setting preferred.
• Strong English communication skills for team interaction.

Responsibilities

• Operate test stands and adjust controls to meet specifications.
• Read schematics/blueprints to ensure proper assembly.
• Use computer test software and document results accurately.
• Identify, troubleshoot and resolve unit performance issues.
• Train new team members on machines, procedures and safety.
• Maintain the 5S program for a clean, organized workspace.
• Read and interpret blueprints for sheet metal fabrication and machine setup.
• Operate Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) as required.
