Job summary

Daikin Applied is seeking an HVAC Test Technician III in Plymouth, MN. The role supports a lab expansion, performing ISO 17025-compliant testing and instrument verification in a climate-controlled facility.

Responsibilities include setting up complex equipment, reporting nonconformities, maintaining safety and clean work areas, and assisting with training of other technicians. First shift runs 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in HVAC&R or related field required.
• Experience in a mechanical test lab or field service preferred.
• Fork truck, man lift, refrigerant handling certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing activities according to procedures and ISO 17025.
• Set up and operate complex lab equipment and instruments.
• Identify nonconformities and report abnormal testing conditions.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and adhere to EH&S policies.
• Document test activities and create accurate records.
• Troubleshoot, repair test units, and provide guidance to junior technicians.
