Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a TEST STAND MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN on the 2nd shift at our Rocket Development and Test Facility. You will assist with building, activating, modifying, and improving fluid and mechanical systems that test high‑power rocket engines, focusing on repairs and reliability.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting hardware, maintaining test stands, collaborating with design and operations engineers, and contributing to continuous process improvements across the site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 3+ years of experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, cryogenic, high‑pressure gas, or data systems.

Responsibilities

• Modify and maintain test stands and ground support equipment for rocket testing.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair hardware for test stand systems (fluid, structural, mechanical).
• Maintain structural/mechanical systems and related components (rollers, bearings, rams).
• Maintain fluid systems and related components (piping, pumps, valves, filters).
• Collaborate with design and operations engineers to keep systems in peak condition and drive improvements.
• Develop methods to streamline processes and increase reliability across the site.
