Job summary

NXP Semiconductors in Austin, TX is seeking a Test Operations Strategy Manager to own long-term strategic sourcing of critical test capacity. You will influence senior leadership and align sourcing with the operations roadmap and business goals.

This role partners with Manufacturing Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Business Operations to shape long-range roadmaps, monitor capacity, and drive actions that mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 6+ years in test capacity or sourcing.
• Masters preferred with 5+ years in test capacity strategy.
• Experience with Wafer Test or Final Test in semiconductor manufacturing.
• Strong ability to influence senior leadership and translate complex data for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define long-range test sourcing strategies for Wafer Test and Final Test.
• Partner with Manufacturing Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Business Operations to align long-term roadmaps.
• Identify risks and opportunities in roadmaps and drive resolution actions.
• Review and align with Operations long-term Test sourcing strategies and communicate impact to stakeholders.
• Prepare annual Long Term Plan and Strategic Plan Alignment documentation for executive review.

Job description

The Test Operations Strategy Manager owns and manages the long term strategic sourcing of critical test capacity supply chain. This role requires an experienced strategic thinker with technical expertise in Test, and who can navigate the complex global test supply chain challenges, influence senior corporate leadership, and develop as well as drive test capacity strategies that align with NXP’s operations roadmap and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities, Skills, And Qualifications

Strategic Sourcing for Wafer Test and Final Test

• Partner with internal company stakeholders from Manufacturing Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Business Operations to define long-range Test sourcing strategies, with consideration of long term demand, capability, affordability, space, and product roadmaps.
• Review long term Wafer Test and Final Test strategic roadmaps and identify risks and opportunities, and prioritize resolution actions with internal partners to mitigate risks or capitalize opportunities.
• Review NXP’s long term Test technical roadmaps and requirements, and ensure alignment with Operations long term Test sourcing strategies. Summarize and ensure that all key stakeholders in the company are aware of the impact of product design decisions to sourcing, manufacturing, and capacity availability risks.

Long Term Forecast and Supply Planning

• Prepare the annual NXP corporate Long Term Plan (LTP) and Strategic Plan Alignment (SPA) Wafer Test and Final Test documentation to share with NXP Corporate Management Team for alignment to a shared corporate Wafer Test and Final Test Sourcing Strategy
• Manage and monitor execution and sourcing of products and sourcing including capacity expansions to ensure alignment to the Long Term Plan
• Collaborate with cross functional teams on approved strategic projects to fulfill NXP’s long term sourcing strategies
• Ability to identify forecast uncertainties and manage the uncertainties appropriately to achieve a robust long term plan

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, or Materials), Supply Chain Management, or related field with at least 6 years of experience
• Masters’ Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, or Materials), Supply Chain Management, or related field with at least 5 years of experience
• More than 5 years of experience with Wafer Test or Final Test semiconductor manufacturing processes
• More than 3 years of experience with supply chain planning and strategies
