Job summary

Apexon is seeking an experienced Test Lead to oversee functional testing for Integrated Eligibility (IE) and benefits systems. You will manage a team of 6–8 testers and drive end-to-end testing across Medicaid, SNAP, TANF, and Child Care programs, ensuring quality across complex eligibility workflows.

The ideal candidate brings 8+ years in testing with a strong functional focus, 3+ years in a leadership role, and hands-on IE experience.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of testing experience with strong functional testing focus.
• 3+ years as a Test Lead managing teams of 6–8 testers.
• Hands-on experience with State Integrated Eligibility (IE) systems.
• Coverage across IE programs such as Medicaid, SNAP, TANF, Child Care.
• Strong understanding of eligibility determination workflows and cross-program integration.
• Experience on state government/public sector projects.
• Expertise in SDLC and STLC, including Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies.
• Proficiency with test management and defect tracking tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, ALM, etc.) and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end functional testing across IE and benefits systems.
• Manage a team of 6–8 testers, assign work, mentor, and track progress.
• Ensure comprehensive test coverage for IE programs (Medicaid, SNAP, TANF, Child Care).
• Coordinate with stakeholders and project teams to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
• Guide QA processes and collaborate with development and operations teams.
