Job summary

IntelliBee in Des Moines, IA is seeking a QA tester focused on Health and Human Services systems, specializing in Integrated Eligibility rules testing for TANF and SNAP. You will validate front-end and back-end processes and coordinate interfaces.

The role covers test planning, execution, and closure across batch jobs, data validation, reports, notices, security roles, and uses Azure DevOps for traceability.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience testing HHS systems focusing on IE rules for TANF and SNAP.
• Experience with benefits issuance and eligibility determinations.
• Ability to review functional specifications and system requirements.
• Experience across testing phases: test planning, execution, closure; integration, system, and UAT.
• Experience testing batch processes: benefit issuance, interfaces, data conversion, reports, notices, and security roles.
• Experience with Azure DevOps for test case management, defect tracking, and requirements traceability.
• SQL queries used for test scenarios and data validation.

Responsibilities

• Work independently and collaboratively in a team, prioritizing tasks to deliver quality on time.
• Validate front-end and back-end test scenarios, including nightly, weekly, and monthly batch processes and file creation.
• Validate benefit calculations, issuance schedules, payment methods/outputs, and eligibility outcomes.
• Coordinate interface testing for inbound/outbound integrations involving eligibility data exchanges with external interfaces and downstream issuances.

Job description

• Hands-on experience testing Health and Human Services (HHS) systems, with a strong focus on Integrated Eligibility (IE) rules testing across public assistance programs, including Cash Assistance (TANF) and Food Assistance (SNAP).
• Prior experience with Benefits issuance and eligibility determinations.
• Demonstrated ability to review and interpret functional specifications, system requirements, and other design documentation
• Proficient across testing phases, including test planning, execution, and closure, and experienced in multiple testing types such as integration testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing.
• Demonstrated experience testing batch processes including benefit issuance, interfaces (flat files and SOAP UI), data conversion, reports, notices, and security roles.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps for test case creation, test execution, defect creation, and requirement traceability.

Preferred Skills:

• Ability to write and modify SQL queries to support test scenarios and database validation.
• Knowledge with back-end validations and comparing data from legacy and modernized systems.
