Qualifications

  • High school diploma required.
  • Experience in a test lab or manufacturing environment preferred but not required.
  • Ability to read, write, and perform mathematics to perform job duties.
  • Proficiency with computer software including Microsoft Suite Applications (Word, Excel) and email.
  • Experience using measurement and gaging tools (e.g., micrometers, dial indicators, calipers).
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and basic technical drawings.
  • Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools and basic electrical/mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and prioritize daily test schedule independently
  • Set up and execute established mechanical tests and measurement activities per engineering specifications
  • Prepare test samples and gather required specifications and hardware per established procedures
  • Perform gaging and measurements on test samples using calibrated tools and instruments
  • Interpret test results and identify conformance levels against engineering requirements
  • Document test data, results, and samples per established filing and record procedures
  • Perform minor troubleshooting of test equipment to maintain operational readiness
  • Understand and execute lock out-tag out procedures and all established safety protocols
  • Report test completion and results clearly to requestors and engineering team
  • Maintain organized workspace and adhere to all lab procedures and systems
  • Participate in lab-related team activities as assigned (safety initiatives, test planning, root cause analysis, etc.)
  • Support engineers and other departments with test execution and technical assistance as needed

Description
SUMMARY

Execute established test procedures and measurements in a controlled lab environment. Manage daily work priorities and test scheduling independently. Interpret test results, identify conformance to specifications, and communicate findings to requestors. Maintain accurate test documentation and ensure compliance with lab procedures and safety protocols. Support the technical department as a reliable resource for test execution and results analysis.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform gaging and measurements on test samples using calibrated tools and instruments

Requirements
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Prior experience in a test lab or manufacturing environment preferred but not required
  • Ability to read, write, and perform mathematics at a level necessary to competently perform job duties
  • Proficiency with computer software including Microsoft Suite Applications (Word, Excel) and email
  • Experience using measurement and gaging tools (e.g., micrometers, dial indicators, calipers)
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and basic technical drawings
  • Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools and basic electrical/mechanical equipment

ADDITIONAL NOTES
  • Position may require the ability to lift, bend, good hand dexterity, visual inspection and some manual handling not to exceed 35 pounds.
  • Flexible work schedule may be required (i.e. some overtime may be required based on business needs)
