Job summary

Vertiv seeks an Engineering Technician to verify and validate data center liquid cooling infrastructure, controllers, and test vehicles in Austin, TX. You will execute tests, analyze data, and debug systems, contributing to test automation, thermal/electrical testing, and product readiness.

Ideal candidates have a two-year degree with 1 year of related experience or 4 years in IT/HVAC, familiarity with DAQ, thermocouples, thermal chambers, and flow benches, and a bias for developing automated

Qualifications

Associate's degree + 1 year experience OR 4 years experience in IT/HVAC or cooling system industries.
Confident with data acquisition systems (DAQ).
Familiarity with setting up software stress tools.
Thermocouple instrumentation.
Thermal chamber operation.
Flow bench operation.
Electrical circuit debug and soldering.
Creating and following test plans.
Compiling data and creating test reports/summaries. Familiarity with various testing techniques.
Experience with developing test automation is a plus.
Experience developing Python is a plus.

Plan, set up, instrument, and operate products and test facilities.
Support and collaborate with engineers to structure and develop system testing capabilities and products.
Analyze and improve existing processes and designs as required.
Troubleshoot and correct issues.
Assist in development of solutions or workarounds to resolve defects.
Conduct tests, analyze data and modify units being tested within intermediate limits.
Complete tasks in a timely manner and report progress to team lead.
Analyze, troubleshoot, and debug test hardware, software and product interactions.
Develop software to automate test tasks and test network environments.
Document technical issues and solutions, suggest fixes and improvements.
Report activities, project status, and plans to leadership.

Job Summary

The Vertiv Server Liquid Systems team is seeking an Engineering Technician to perform verification and validation of our data center liquid cooling infrastructure, controllers and thermal test vehicles. Work will include test execution, data analysis and debug of systems. A successful candidate will have experience in any of the following areas: test automation development, thermal testing, electrical testing and/or system product testing.

Responsibilities

Plan, set up, instrument, and operate products and test facilities.
Support and collaborate with engineers in activities to structure and develop system testing capabilities and products.
Analyze and improve existing processes & designs, as required
Ability to troubleshoot and correct issues.
Assist in development of solutions or workarounds to resolve defects.
Conduct tests, analyze data and make modifications to units being tested within limits of intermediate nature.
Requires timely completion of assigned tasks.
Analyze, troubleshoot, and debug test hardware, software and product interactions.
Develop software to automate test tasks.
Develop test network environments for devices under test.
Document technical issues and solutions.
Suggest fixes and improvements.
Report activities, project status, and plans to team lead and management.

Requirements
