Job summary

Hitachi Vantara Manufacturing, Inc. in Norman, OK is seeking an Engineering Intern to join the Test Engineering team.

This role targets students pursuing degrees in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical fields and provides hands-on experience in automation, data analysis, and production support, with opportunities to develop software tools. You will collaborate with engineers, troubleshoot production test systems, and gain exposure to AI and GenAI applications in

Qualifications

• Experience with software programming and application development.
• Basic understanding of statistics and data analysis concepts.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Interest in learning and applying AI and GenAI tools to improve engineering and manufacturing processes.
• Able to work at least 20 hours per week during school months and 40 hours per week during summer months.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with engineers to support automation, data analysis, and production support projects.
• Develop new software applications.
• Support existing tools used in engineering and manufacturing operations.
• Research technical issues and propose practical engineering solutions.
• Assist with setup, troubleshooting, and support of production test systems & computer equipment.
• Collaborate effectively in a collaborative environment.
