Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks a professional, innovative and detailed individual for our Test Engineering Intern position in Pullman, WA. This internship offers hands-on experience with state-of-the-art digital relays that protect and control power systems.

You will gain hands-on engineering experience, mentorship from SEL engineers, and exposure to industry-leading power system technologies while developing technical and professional skills in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
  • Strong academic performance and interest in electrical engineering fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of circuit analysis, electronics, digital logic, PCB design and prototyping concepts.
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and power supplies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Background check results satisfactory to SEL
  • Negative drug test result(s)

Responsibilities

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks a professional, innovative and detailed individual for our Test Engineering Intern position. What You Will Do
  • Support the design, testing, and validation of electrical and electronic systems.

  • Experience with C/C++/C#, Python, or other engineering tools.
  • Knowledge of SolidWorks or other CAD tools.
  • Familiarity with networking protocols and serial communications.

Pay Range Data - $21.50 - $28.75 hourly

Our intern pay is determined based on the internship role (the work you would be doing) and your year in school (when you plan to graduate).
