Job summary

Amentum is seeking an experienced Test Engineer for a Springfield, VA position to support DoW test and evaluation activities. You will work with engineers, developers, and government stakeholders to analyze requirements, develop test concepts, plan tests, and document results.

You will deploy with a team to CONUS and OCONUS locations for short-duration operations and exercises, contributing to TEMP, TES, and MT processes while maintaining strong communication and problem-solving abilities in a

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret US Government Clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, statistics, or related field with related experience.
• Experience in Operational Test and Evaluation (OT&E).
• Experience supporting technical projects, test planning, and execution activities.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent technical and analytical writing skills.
• Familiarity with MATLAB and other analytical tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and contribute to detailed Test Plans, Evaluation Plans, Test Schedules, and Test Reports.
• Support planning, coordination, and execution of test events including facilities, locations, personnel, and resources.
• Apply STAT to evaluate systems and produce statistically meaningful results.
• Identify operational issues and develop test objectives for MOEs and MOPs.
• Support development and maintenance of WIPT plans, milestones, and decision points.
• Contribute to Capstone TEMP and TES documents and processes.
• Develop and maintain TES addressing readiness, suitability, events, and decision points.
• Review requirements, specs, test plans, and results; participate in Technical Exchange Meetings.
• Support requirements development, traceability, and verification.
• Coordinate with Government Agencies and industry partners for testing.
• Keep abreast of industry standards and emerging developments in test and evaluation.
• Identify and recommend modeling and simulation tools for planning and analysis.
