Job summary

Amentum is seeking an experienced Test Engineer to support DoW testing efforts in Springfield, VA. You will develop, execute, and document T&E activities, collaborating with engineers, developers, and government stakeholders to evaluate new technologies and conduct field testing.

Expect travel to CONUS/OCONUS locations for short-duration operations and exercises. Ideal candidates have strong analytical and communication skills, MS 365 proficiency, and experience with MATLAB/Simulink; a TS/SCI

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required.
• OT&E experience and test planning/execution background are essential.
• Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills are necessary.
• Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink and MS 365 suite is expected.

Responsibilities

• Develop and contribute to detailed Test Plans, Evaluation Plans, test schedules, and test reports.
• Coordinate and execute test events, facilities, equipment, locations, and resources.
• Apply STAT methods to produce meaningful results and insights.
• Define MOEs/MOPs and assess operational effectiveness and suitability.
• Maintain WIPT plans, milestones, and decision points.
• Support TEMP development and TES strategies addressing readiness and events.
• Review requirements, specs, and prior test results for alignment.
• Participate in Technical Exchange Meetings and provide input at design reviews.
• Support requirements development, traceability, and verification tasks.
• Coordinate with Government Agencies and industry partners for testing.
• Stay current with industry standards and emerging T&E practices.
• Identify, evaluate, and recommend modeling/simulation tools for planning and analysis.
