Boyd Thermal Solutions Inc. in Fredericksburg, VA is seeking a Test Engineer to assemble, modify, test, and evaluate electrical and mechanical systems for thermal management and power distribution.

The role supports prototype development, qualification testing, and product validation activities. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 3+ years of experience in system assembly, integration, and testing, with strong hands-on skills in lab environments and experience reading

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field; equivalent experience will also be considered.
• 3+ years of experience in electrical and mechanical system assembly, integration, and testing.

Responsabilités

• Assemble electrical products and test systems including wiring, cable fabrication, PCB soldering, and quality inspections.
• Build and integrate mechanical assemblies such as heat exchangers, piping, and thermal hardware.
• Develop test setups and cells to support engineering validation.
• Lead testing efforts for new and modified product designs.
• Create and execute test plans, procedures, and validation protocols.
• Collect, analyze, and document test data and results.
• Support prototype assembly, test setup, troubleshooting, and teardown.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues during bring-up.
• Collaborate with vendors to support testing activities and sequencing.
• Maintain engineering documentation including drawings, specifications, test procedures, work instructions, and lessons learned.
• Prepare technical reports, test reports, operating manuals, and assembly documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve product performance and reliability.
