Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated is seeking a Test Engineer to functionally test embedded firmware in AMI products. You will design, develop, modify and evaluate electronic parts and systems for hardware applications, and perform functional tests per project requirements.

Daily duties include collaborating with test engineers and lab technicians, reviewing responsibilities in a timely manner, and supporting the Director Engineering Lab & Product Test.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (required).
  • 3-6 years of experience in test and measurement environment (required).
  • Ability to read complex blueprints and schematics to troubleshoot and repair Test Lab equipment.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory bodies such as UL, CSA and the National Electrical Code.
  • Experience with test and measurement equipment and methodologies for electrical systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with automated test tools and test automation frameworks; Python, LabVIEW, or equivalent tools preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Job description

The Test Engineer functionally test embedded firmware in AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) in products. The Test Engineer designs, develops, modifies and evaluates electronic parts, components or integrated circuitry for electronic equipment, or other hardware systems and/or electrical engineering applications.
