Job summary

Navarro Research and Engineering is seeking a Test Specialist in West Mifflin, PA. The role requires an active DOE clearance or DOD equivalent.

You will support the A4W FITE platform, cross-train on the A1B platform, and certify hardware/software changes prior to deployment, ensuring reliable operation of test systems. Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, 6+ years of experience, and strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience.
• Previous A4W qualification as EOOW, PPWO, or EWS is required.
• Willingness to travel semiannually to NNPP sites.
• Ability to cross-train on the A1B platform and learn the simulation software.

Responsibilities

• Certify hardware and software changes prior to deployment to FITE sites.
• Support A4W FITE platform and cross-train to A1B FITE platform.
• Assist in test programs to verify plant operations and expected responses.
• Collaborate with management and interfacing organizations to resolve issues.
