Job summary

AttainX, Inc. is seeking a Junior/Mid-Level Tester I to support testing of TripWire, DHS OBP's secure information-sharing platform.

You will execute and document tests for digital modernization, cloud integration, data migration, and automation under guidance from senior technical personnel. The role requires 2–3 years of QA experience, a bachelor's degree or equivalent, and US citizenship to obtain DHS public trust clearance.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of related software testing or quality assurance experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience executing test cases, documenting results and defects, and verifying fixes for web applications or cloud-hosted services.
• Working knowledge of functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing and requirements traceability.
• Familiarity with API testing, test scripting or automation, issue tracking, and version control tools.
• Ability to follow test procedures, protect sensitive information, and communicate clearly with developers and technical leads.
• ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) certification is preferred.
• Must be a US Citizen able to obtain and maintain a DHS CISA OBP Government Public Trust background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing test cases and scripts from operational requirements, KP, and approved acceptance criteria.
• Execute tests that verify technical performance, operational effectiveness, and suitability throughout the application lifecycle.
• Support testing using applicable DHS procedures and guidance from senior personnel.
• Test web interfaces, API integrations, SaaS and cloud services, and enterprise platform compatibility.
• Verify authentication, external-user validation, access controls, and controlled information upload workflows.
• Validate data migrations, data pipelines, data quality routines, and reporting/visualization functions.
• Record defects and reproducible test evidence; coordinate retesting after fixes and maintain traceability to requirements.
• Assist with repeatable test scripts and automated testing integrated into CI/CD workflows.
• Prepare test summaries and support reporting of conclusions, risks, and government acceptance.
• Maintain version-controlled test documentation and contribute to QA, release readiness, and migration validation.

Location: Remote - DHS CISA Office of Bombing Prevention; approved work location within the 50 United States or the District of Columbia.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday;

Security Requirements: Must successfully complete the required DHS/CISA OBP Public Trust background investigation, obtain and maintain a favorable DHS suitability/fitness determination (Public Trust), and maintain required system access.

• Support Developmental and Operational Testing using applicable DHS testing procedures and direction from senior personnel.
• Test web interfaces, API integrations, SaaS and cloud services, and compatibility with enterprise platforms.
• Verify authentication, external-user validation, access controls, and controlled information-upload workflows.
• Validate data migrations, data pipeline outputs, data-quality routines, and reporting or visualization functions.
• Record defects and reproducible test evidence; coordinate retesting after corrective changes and maintain traceability to requirements.
• Assist with repeatable test scripts and automated testing integrated into approved CI/CD workflows.
• Prepare test summaries and support reporting of conclusions, outstanding risks, and recommendations for Government acceptance.
• Maintain version-controlled test documentation and contribute to quality assurance, release readiness, and migration validation.
