AttainX, Inc. seeks a Web Software Developer II to design accessible, secure web interfaces for OBP’s information-sharing platform.

You will contribute to cloud modernization and enterprise integration while ensuring a user-friendly experience for first responders. The role requires 2–4 years of relevant web design and front-end experience, a related degree or equivalent experience, and compliance with DHS background requirements.

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of related web design or front-end experience.
  • A bachelor’s degree in web design, computer science, information technology, graphic design, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to translate user needs into wireframes, prototypes, navigation, layouts, and reusable components.
  • Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility and secure web design practices.
  • Experience collaborating with engineers on API-driven interfaces and Agile delivery.
  • UX certification is preferred.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for DHS/SISA OBP background process.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement visually appealing, agency-branded interfaces for a secure information-sharing platform.
  • Translate requirements into navigation, layouts, prototypes, and reusable components.
  • Support interfaces for searching, analyzing, and presenting various content from first responders.
  • Apply accessibility and branding guidelines to web content and interface design.
  • Collaborate with architects to integrate interfaces with SaaS, cloud services, and enterprise capabilities.
  • Participate in design reviews addressing usability, security, and interoperability.
  • Assist with testing, debugging, and documenting changes for government review.
  • Support presentation of geospatial information, analytics, and dashboards via APIs.

Job Title: Web Software Developer II

Location: Remote - DHS CISA Office of Bombing Prevention; approved work location within the 50 United States or the District of Columbia.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday;

Security Requirements: Must successfully complete the required DHS/CISA OBP Public Trust background investigation, obtain and maintain a favorable DHS suitability/fitness determination (Public Trust), and maintain required system access.

Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States and meet DHS/CISA personnel and system access requirements.

AttainX is seeking a Web Software Developer / Designer II to design accessible, user-friendly web interfaces for OBP’s secure information-sharing platform. This role improves the service experience for first responders while supporting cloud modernization and enterprise integration.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • 2-4 years of related web design, front-end development, or user interface experience.
  • A bachelor’s degree in web design, computer science, information technology, graphic design, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Ability to translate user needs into wireframes, prototypes, navigation, layouts, and reusable interface components.
  • Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility, agency branding, usability, and secure web design practices.
  • Experience collaborating with engineers and architects on API-driven interfaces, authentication workflows, version control, and Agile delivery.
  • A relevant web accessibility or user experience design certification is preferred.
  • US Citizen with ability to satisfy required DHS CISA OBP Government Public Trust background investigation, system access, nondisclosure, and sensitive-information protection requirements.
Job Duties:
  • Design and implement easy-to-use, visually appealing, agency-branded graphical interfaces for a secure information-sharing platform.
  • Translate stakeholder requirements into navigation, page layouts, prototypes, and reusable design components for mission content and collaboration.
  • Support interfaces for searching and presenting analyses, reports, documents, images, videos, and information submitted by first responders.
  • Apply Section 508 accessibility, plain-language, CISA branding, and applicable DHS digital-experience guidance to web content and interface design.
  • Collaborate with solution architects and engineers to integrate interfaces with SaaS offerings, cloud services, and CISA enterprise capabilities.
  • Participate in incremental design reviews addressing usability, identity management, security, interoperability, and system health.
  • Support secure external-user access and controlled upload workflows in coordination with platform and security teams.
  • Assist with interface testing and verification, resolve usability and display defects, and document changes for Government review.
  • Support presentation of geospatial information, analytics, and dashboards through approved enterprise services and APIs.
  • Maintain version-controlled interface assets, design documentation, and user guidance; incorporate stakeholder feedback into iterative improvements.

Occasional work outside normal hours, including weekends and holidays, may be required for critical issues, emergency response, or approved changes. Office noise is generally moderate. Remote work remains subject to Government approval and access requirements.
