Job summary

The Toro Company invites ambitious students to join its 2027 Summer Internship Program, running May 17 to August 6, 2027. Interns must be legally authorized to work in the United States and be available to start May 17 and complete the program.

The Exmark division, based in Beatrice, Nebraska, plays a key role in manufacturing landscape maintenance equipment. Interns will work with cross-functional teams to qualify prototype machines, develop test plans, analyze results, and gain hands-on

Qualifications

• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to learn new things.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Problem solving acumen.
• GPA 3.0 or higher preferred.
• Experience with MS Office, CAD software, Test Instrumentation.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Work within multi-discipline team to qualify prototype machines in advance of production (mechanical, electrical, electromechanical, software systems).
• Develop test plan then perform test setup, including Instrumentation and fixturing.
• Analyze and document test results.
• Opportunities to gain deeper understanding and learning of: instrumentation and data acquisition, LabVIEW, Thermal imaging, modal analysis, accelerometers, thermal and sound measuring equipment, Mat Lab, Creo.
• Collaborate across all functions of the business and learn what it takes to be part of a great team.

The 2027 Summer Internship Program will run from May 17, 2027, through August 6, 2027. Candidates must be available to start on May 17 and participate through the duration of the program.

What Do You Need?

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:

• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with an ability to learn and apply new things

• Strong analytical and organizational skills

• Problem solving acumen

• Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

• Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), CAD software, Test Instrumentation

• Ability to manage multiple projects at once and prioritize based on due dates or importance
