Job summary

The Toro Company invites motivated engineering students to join its 2027 Summer Internship Program in Nebraska. Interns will work on multidisciplinary teams to design, prototype, and evaluate components and systems across mechanical, electrical, and software domains.

Selected interns will contribute to Creo documentation, build prototypes, and perform tests and data analyses, gaining exposure to real-world product development in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree and entering junior year or higher.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with off-road equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work within a multi-discipline team to design and develop components and systems (mechanical, electrical, electromechanical, software).
• Contribute to product documentation including Creo solid modeling, print creation, release process.
• Source, build and evaluate prototype designs.
• Perform evaluations (physical and FEA) by collecting and analyzing data and report results to the team.
• Collaborate across all functions of the business and learn what it takes to be a great team.

The 2027 Summer Internship Program will run from May 17, 2027, through August 6, 2027. Candidates must be available to start on May 17 and participate through the duration of the program.

What Will You Do?

What Do You Need?

• Must be pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline at an accredited college or university and be entering junior year or higher.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills are required to work effectively across design, test, manufacturing, and marketing teams.
• Experience designing, developing, testing, or operating off-road equipment is a plus.
