HydraForce in Vernon Hills, IL offers an internship program designed to develop future engineering resources while supporting our engineering groups. The program provides hands-on experience with hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems, and projects increase in complexity as you progress.

Interns troubleshoot, calibrate, review schematics, and update documentation. A strong GPA and active engineering student status are required; PLC knowledge and good communication help.

Qualifications

  • Fluid power knowledge is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic circuits and tooling used on test stands throughout plant
  • Analyze and repair stand issues based on troubleshooting guides if stands are out of startup control
  • Review hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic circuits and schematics to troubleshoot test setups and power unit equipment
  • Calibrate testing equipment such as pressure transducers, flow meter displays, heat, and current sensors
  • Perform and assist in correlation studies and GR&R for qualifying stands for specific products
  • Update documentation in Q-Pulse. Training will be provided

Job Description

The goal of HydraForce’s internship program is to develop future engineering resources for our organization while providing support to our Engineering groups. We structure the engineering internship to allow candidates the opportunity to develop knowledge and skill-sets unique to our industry. Project tasks reflect an increasing level of technical complexity based on demonstrated proficiency and success on prior assignments. Although there is no guarantee of employment, it is our goal to have our interns fully capable of stepping into an entry level engineering position upon graduation.

Supporting Job Elements:
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic circuits and tooling used on test stands throughout plant

Additional Information

Indefinite U.S. work authorized individuals only. Future sponsorship for work authorization unavailable.

The US base hourly range for this position will be in between $20- $27depending on the credits accumulated for the undergraduate students. Your Recruiter can share more details about the specific hourly range during the interview process.
