Job summary

Echodyne is seeking a Test Engineer II to focus on off-radar software, designing and executing test strategies for web-based applications and APIs, and building automated tests with Python, Playwright, and Selenium. You will collaborate with hardware and software teams to improve testability and quality across projects.

Responsibilities include creating test plans, validating feature behavior, and managing defects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in software testing, QA, or test engineering for web apps and RESTful APIs.
• Experience validating feature-level behavior and cross-component workflows.
• Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and test design techniques.
• UI and API test automation experience, including writing automated tests (Python preferred).
• Experience working with hardware/software dependencies.
• Linux environments, Git workflows, and CI/CD concepts.
• Understanding of software development practices, defect investigation, and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain automated tests where they provide clear value, contributing to existing frameworks using Python, Playwright, and Selenium.
• Collaborate with software development, product, and firmware teams to improve testability and overall quality.
• Support test environments, automation infrastructure, and test execution across projects and releases.
• Promote strong testing practices and a quality-first mindset, participating in peer reviews and knowledge sharing.

Echodyne is seeking a TEST ENGINEER II to focus on off-radar software.

REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

• 3+ years of experience in software testing, QA engineering, or test engineering roles, with a focus on web applications and RESTful APIs
• Experience validating feature-level behavior and cross-component workflows
• Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and test design techniques
• Experience with UI and API test automation, including writing and maintaining automated tests (Python preferred)
• Experience working in environments with hardware and software dependencies
• Practical knowledge of Linux environments, Git workflows, and CI/CD concepts
• Understanding of software development practices, defect investigation, and root cause analysis

The expected annual salary range for this role is $114,330 — $170,980 USD
