Job summary

SAF-HOLLAND seeks a Test Engineer II to design, develop, and execute automated test systems for electrical and automation-focused validation of commercial vehicle components.

The role involves troubleshooting complex electrical and automated systems, programming test equipment, and turning data into actionable engineering insights, with travel ~15% for field testing and customer visits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechatronics or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years in testing, automation, controls or labs.
• Experience with electrical control systems and instrumentation.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and improve automated test equipment for validation and durability testing.
• Develop control systems using PLCs and automation software.
• Program and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs and Beckhoff controllers.
• Design electrical schematics, panels, wiring layouts and instrumentation.
• Lead testing activities from planning to final reporting.
