Job summary

Broadcom is seeking a Test Engineer to develop automated production test systems for the next generation of silicon photonics products used in data center interconnects. You will build efficient hardware and software for development and production testing.

You will co-develop testing systems with product developers and manufacturing test engineers, optimize hardware configurations for compliance testing, and lead the creation of test scripts and GUI interfaces for maximum capital efficiency.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in engineering or physics required.
• 6+ years relevant industry experience.
• Strong background in optical device testing.
• Proficient in Python, C++, and C# with multi-threaded programming and GUI development.
• Experience with firmware and motion/vision systems preferred.
• Experience with relational databases such as Oracle optional.
• Familiarity with JMP for statistical analysis advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Co-develop automated testing systems with product developers and manufacturing test engineers.
• Design optimized hardware configurations for compliance testing and defect detection.
• Build test scripts, data acquisition modules, and GUI interfaces for high efficiency.
• Assist with product characterization, design validation, and production yield improvement.
• Leverage existing platforms and add new capabilities in a structured way.
