Job summary

Qualcomm Atheros, Inc. is seeking a test engineer to develop automated production test solutions for RF transceivers and mixed-signal devices. You will contribute to silicon bring-up in NPI and improve existing test flows.

The role requires hands-on experience with ATE systems (Teradyne or 93K preferred), RF knowledge and analog circuit understanding. A Bachelor's in Electrical/Electronics Engineering is required, with MSEE preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics and Computer Engineering is required.
• Experience with ATE test equipment (Teradyne or 93K) is a plus.
• Knowledge of RF and analog circuits is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop ATE test program and integrate test functions for silicon bring-up in the NPI phase.
• Define RF test strategies, plans and procedures based on product specs and collaborate with design/qualification teams.
• Characterize and validate ATE performance across PVT and communicate results to cross-functional teams.
• Utilize ATE tools and instruments (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, VNA, logic analyzer) to debug issues.
• Support continuous improvement during and after NPI, focusing on yield and quality.
• Be self-driven to quickly learn various aspects of test development.

General Summary:

The test engineer develops automated production test solutions for RF transceivers and Mixed signal devices. This role supports the activities for launching new products into high volume production as well as improving the existing solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop ATE test program and integrate various test functions in the test flow to support silicon bring up in NPI phase.
• Define RF test strategies, test plans and test procedures based on product specifications. Collaborate with design and qualification teams to align test objectives.
• Perform design characterization and validation on ATE across PVT and communicate the results and analysis to cross functional teams.
• Utilize ATE test tools and external instruments such as oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, VNA and logic analyzer to debug any issues.
• Support continuous improvement activities during and post NPI phase such as yield and quality.
• The candidate is expected to be self-driven to quickly get up to speed on various aspects of test developments

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:

• $113,000.00 - $169,600.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm.
