Job summary

Qualcomm Atheros, Inc. seeks a System Test Engineer to perform WLAN and Bluetooth system-level testing in Santa Clara.

You will develop and execute test cases, analyze results, and collaborate with system, software, hardware, and RF engineers to support product launches. Requirements include a Bachelor’s in engineering or related field, 1–2 years of hands-on testing, familiarity with WLAN technologies, and Python programming for automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• 1–2 years of hands-on system testing and debugging experience preferred.
• Experience with WLAN and Bluetooth testing is preferred.
• Programming in Python is beneficial.

• Perform System level testing for wireless connectivity products, especially WLAN and Bluetooth.

• Work closely with system, software, hardware, and RF engineers to support commercialization and product launches

Technical Skills

• Background in digital communications.
• Networking knowledge, Wireless Communications, TCP/IP.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

Preferred

• WLAN technologies (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be).
• OFDMA and MIMO concepts.
• Test automation experience.
• WLAN packet/sniffer analysis.
• Programming in Python

Experience

• 1 to 2 years of hands-on system testing and debugging experience is considered a plus.
• Experience with WLAN and Bluetooth testing is preferred.
• Experience developing automated test solutions and/or Python programming skills.

Education

• MSEE (Master's in Electrical Engineering) preferred.
• MSCE (Master's in Computer Engineering) with testing experience is also suitable.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits

$104,200.00 - $156,200.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm.
