Job summary

BTI in Washington, DC is seeking a Test Engineer to perform testing and verification of software, report defects, and coordinate with developers on results. You will work in an Agile team and contribute to test planning and documentation.

Responsibilities include crafting test scripts, conducting automated and performance testing, ensuring Section 508 accessibility, and participating in design reviews, UAT, and pre-deployment testing.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in CS, statistics, mathematics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• DHS Trusted Tester certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• At least 3+ years of experience with Section 508 accessibility.
• 3-7 years in SDLC with test engineering in an agile environment.
• 3-5 years of load, stress, and performance testing of web applications.
• 1-3 years developing written test scripts and test cases.
• Experience in automated test plans and scripts.
• Experience in GitLab CI/CD pipelines for automated testing.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.1 A/AA and Section 508 accessibility standards.
• Experience with JIRA or other PM tools.

Responsibilities

• Test and verify code, report and record defects.
• Coordinate with developers on testing and results.
• Document test scripts and participate in design reviews.
• Contribute to user acceptance testing and pre-deployment performance testing.
• Ensure applications meet Section 508 accessibility standards.
• Work in an Agile environment with planning, development, and deployment activities.
