Job summary

BCT LLC is seeking a Test Engineer 3 with active TS/SCI clearance and POLY for a position in Annapolis Junction, Maryland. The role focuses on testing strategy across software and hardware domains and enabling other test teams through macro design of testing postures and frameworks.

The ideal candidate will design automated test frameworks for applications and REST APIs, write test cases, and drive defect analysis, while collaborating with cross-functional agile teams to meet mission-critical

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent) with 8+ years of experience.
• If the degree is not in the STEM field, must have an additional 5 years of Testing for a total of 13 years.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#.
• Comfortable with Linux/Unix command line interface and command execution.
• Experience designing and developing automated test frameworks from scratch.

Role Description:

The candidate will be a dedicated tester with experience in both the Software and Hardware worlds. A tester in this role will enable other test teams and testing activities by designing testing postures/frameworks at a macro level and supporting work performed at the micro level. Members of this team will get a broad spectrum of the entire effort and help drive testing design/ improvements.

Desired skills:

• Familiarity with Hardware and how it influences Software configuration/performance.
• Familiarity with modern test automation tools and libraries (e.g., Selenium, SOAPUI, Python)
• Familiarity with debugging mechanisms across various languages.
• Familiarity with Container technologies (e.g., Docker, Podman) and orchestration technologies (e.g., RKE2)
• Understanding of software configuration management practices and CVCD tools (e.g., GitLab, Jenkins).
• Solid understanding of Scrum and agile methodologies.
• Experience creating user stories and defining acceptance criteria.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Ability to analyze requirements and create detailed test cases.
• Knowledge of JIRA or similar tools for tracking issues and managing tasks.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work effectively both independently and in a team.

$190,000 - $291,000
