We are seeking a Test Engineer to optimize end-of-line and in-process manufacturing test systems. You will perform statistical analysis to improve defect detection, troubleshoot electro-mechanical and hydraulic systems, and design calibration routines. You will also evaluate and implement new test equipment and data acquisition solutions to drive production quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Improve the capability, reliability, and capacity of end-of-line test equipment.
- Troubleshoot test machine reliability and operational issues; lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Interface with customers' engineering teams to develop and validate final test strategies and parameters.
- Collaborate with production on test development for new product launches and implementation goals.
- Recommend equipment upgrades, preventative maintenance plans, and system replacement parts.
- Ensure full adherence to Quality Management System (QMS) policies.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: 1+ years in automated manufacturing processes, with a basic understanding of complex electro-mechanical automotive systems.
- Technical Skills: Proficient with PLC and LabVIEW programming. Hands-on experience with data acquisition systems, control systems, and electronic instrumentation (oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.).
- Core Knowledge: Solid grasp of engineering mechanics, physics, hydraulics, electronics, and applied statistical methods.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving abilities, accurate project estimation, and excellent communication for technical reporting and customer interface.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Ability to stand, walk, and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
- Manufacturing environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts and moderate noise.
