The Manufacturing Engineer will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and provide technical expertise to design, develop, and implement manufacturing systems, processes, tooling, and test solutions that support plant production activities. This is a hands-on role that works closely with engineering, production, quality, and other cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing processes, resolve technical issues, and support new and existing products.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing, assembly, and test processes.
- Design, develop, and maintain electrical/electronic test fixtures, jigs, tooling, and automated test equipment (ATE).
- Apply engineering principles, statistical methods, and data analysis to monitor, maintain, and improve manufacturing processes.
- Investigate manufacturing and process-related problems and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Create and maintain production-level documentation, work instructions, procedures, and process specifications.
- Identify, specify, and initiate the procurement of manufacturing tools, equipment, fixtures, and supplies.
- Plan, specify, evaluate, and justify capital equipment expenditures.
- Lead or participate in product and process improvement initiatives.
- Design and develop test systems and electronic systems supporting product testing, assembly, and manufacturing.
- Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, product, quality, and other engineering disciplines to support concurrent engineering activities.
- Support new product introduction, process development, production readiness, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide hands-on technical support to production and manufacturing teams.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing engineering principles and practices.
- Experience with the electrical/electronic design and development of test fixtures, test systems, or manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot manufacturing processes and electrical/electronic test systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply statistical concepts to manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Minitab, Microsoft Dynamics AX, or similar engineering/manufacturing software is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a hands-on manufacturing environment and collaborate across multiple engineering and operational disciplines.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to cross-functional teams.
Education, Experience & Training
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university required.
- 3+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience with manufacturing processes, electronic testing, test equipment, fixtures, or automated test systems preferred.
- Experience supporting production environments and implementing process improvements is highly desirable.
- Must be able to handle and work with ITAR-controlled technical information in accordance with applicable requirements.

- Ability to work in an office and manufacturing/production environment.
- Occasional movement throughout the manufacturing facility may be required.
