Job summary

IPT Associates (IPTA) is seeking a Test Engineer to join the team at Maxwell AFB-Gunter Annex, Alabama. The role involves leading manual and automated testing efforts, including security, performance, and regression testing, and ensuring traceability in the government testing tools.

You will design automated scripts for API and DB testing, manage the defect lifecycle with developers, and provide RMF artifacts on request.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• DoD 8570 Level II/III certification.
• Active security clearance required.
• Minimum five years of testing experience.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage, oversee, and execute manual and automated testing including functional, regression, security, and performance testing.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, API, and database testing.
• Create and maintain detailed manual test cases in the government-approved tool.
• Manage defect lifecycle and collaborate with developers to verify fixes.
• Support RMF activities with testing evidence and artifacts.

Responsibilities:

• Manage, oversee, and execute all manual and automated testing efforts, including functional, regression, security, and performance testing, providing status to the Government Test Manager
• Design, develop, and maintain a suite of robust and reusable automated test scripts for functional, regression, API, and database testing
• Create and maintain detailed, step-by-step manual test cases in the government-approved test management tool
• Manage the full defect lifecycle, including clear documentation in the government-approved tracking system, direct collaboration with developers to troubleshoot, and verification of all bug fixes
• Support all Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities by providing testing evidence, reports, and other related artifacts upon request

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
• Great communication and organizational skills
• Experience with Jira and Zephyr
• Five (5) years of prior experience in a similar role
• DoD 8570 Level II/III certification
• Active Security Clearance Required
