Job summary

Torch Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Test Engineer to join our team at Eglin AFB, FL. You will develop and execute test plans for the Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS) and its lifecycle upgrades, and work with engineers and managers to ensure mission-critical software is thoroughly tested.

Required qualifications include U.S. citizenship, a technical Master's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience (12+ with a BS), and an active security clearance.

• Master's Degree in a technical field with 8+ years of relevant technical experience (twelve years can substitute for a Master's or combine with a technical BS).
• Proven ability to develop and execute test plans with current complex weapon systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for JMPS and lifecycle upgrades.
• Create realistic test scenarios to operationally test the mission planning environment.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure successful delivery of mission-critical software.
• Draft and present technical documents including test plans, assessments, and final reports.
• Provide expert analysis to senior leaders on operational suitability of new software.
• Travel to various locations (up to 25%) to support testing.

Torch Technologies is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Test Engineer to join our team with the ACC TO at Eglin AFB, FL.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for the Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS) and its life cycle upgrades.
• Leverage your operational expertise to create realistic test scenarios that operationally test the mission planning environment.
• Collaborate with a team of dedicated engineers and project managers to ensure the successful delivery of mission-critical software.
• Draft and present a variety of technical documents, including test plans, operational assessments, and final reports.
• Provide expert analysis and recommendations to senior leaders on the operational suitability of new mission planning software.
• Travel to various locations (10-25%) to support testing and evaluation activities.

Required Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship
• Master's Degree in a technical field and a minimum of 8 years of relevant technical experience working on high-visibility or mission critical aspects is required. Twelve years of relevant technical experience may be substituted for a Master's Degree or eight years of relevant technical experience and a technical BS Degree.
• A proven ability to develop and execute test plans with current complex weapon systems in the inventory.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have and maintain an active Current security clearance.

Schedule: (M-F; 8-5)

Work Location: Onsite at Eglin AFB, FL
